ABOUT ME
SeGs is founded by Stella Esinam Worwui-Ashiadey.
Stella is an Early Years and SEND Practitioner and an Ofsted Registered Outstanding Childminder, and the Director of Starlightkids Childminding Services Ltd based in Manchester. She is also the founder of SeGs Excellence Consultant. Stella is married and a mother of three children.
Stella’s ambition and goal as an Early Years and SEND Practitioner/Childminder, is to see to it that each child receives holistic support in developing their care and educational needs based on the latest evidence research from a smaller setting. Stella ensures the children in her care feel valued, nurtured, their independence and self-worth are promoted so that they are ready to thrive in life. In this way, their parents’/carers’ care, education, safety and security needs are met with desirable outcomes.

Stella’s rich expertise in safeguarding sets her apart, laying a solid early years educational foundation and supporting children with SEND needs. She currently has the role as a Support/SEND Support Childminder for her peers with Manchester City Council.
Stella is a champion of the apprenticeship scheme and regularly mentors apprentices who are employed in her setting. Two have successfully completed, and the third learner is in practice.
Stella has over 23 years worth of experience working in various educational and care settings in varying roles such as, a Teacher, Nursery and Pre-School Practitioner, Church – children with additional Needs (SEND) teacher, SEND Outreach Worker (Children with Disabilities-CWD, Rochdale Council, Early Help/Early Years), Deputy Service Manager, Girl Child Education Facilitator among others.
Stella also served and delivered over six years of responsible and accountable governance to her local church charity, oversaw its four Recovery Victory Homes and the Charity Commission as a trustee and a chair.
Stella has been recognised and awarded by the Manchester City Council as a SEND Support Childminder 2024 and PACEY Regional Award winner for England, North West 2024.
She has attained desirable mandatory and professional training over the years including a BA Hons Degree in Early Childhood Studies. And currently studying towards MSc Psychology Conversion at MMU and Early Years Care and Education (Early Years Educator) Qualification.
